EVENTS

Celebrating events and festivals in schools have become an integral part of learning and building a strong cultural belief in a child. St. Mary’s Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Pallipat encourages our students to embrace other traditions and culture just like the way they do with their own.

Children will remember an important day only if they are told what the occasion signify, making them aware of the world in a more fun way. The events and festivals organized at our School are often celebrated with great pomp and gaiety. Apart from classroom activities, we also pay heed to other important festivals which must be celebrated in order to understand our country’s tradition.

Such celebration will bring students closer to traditional and cultural belief. A closer bond is built between the students as they understand each other’s different customs. Apart from building relationship and friendship, such celebration will bring happiness and love amongst the students.

HOUSE SYSTEM

The school has introduced the House system to increase a healthy competitive spirit among the students belonging to different houses. It makes every student an integral part of the school and is responsible equally to contribute. We personally believe that the house system is an excellent method to bring out hidden talent in our students and give them an opportunity to explore themselves. House system apart from sports and arts collectively can be used for social welfare, academic projects (i.e Award points to a house which comes with the most innovative idea).

There are four houses with their colours of Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. In 2019-2020 it was changed into North, East, South & West. House wise competitions of various arts & sports items are conducted on various days during the academic year. The house which scores the highest point is honoured & prized at the end of the year.
