The School Management is a Self-financed private minority group run by the Sisters of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate (DMI). It was established by Rev. Fr. J.E.Arul Raj in June 1984.It is the first school founded by him. In 1992, the school was recognized by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and we got the Temporary Recognition for Std I-V. In the following year, the school was upgraded to VIII classes, STD IX to X followed in the next year.
In1995, the first batch of students appeared for the Government Exams under Matriculation stream. Later, we were introduced into Samacheer Kalvi from 2005-2006. Our school was upgraded to Higher Secondary during 2020-2021 academic year with four groups
St.Mary's Matriculation Higher Secondary School stands as a synonym of academic excellence, discipline and communicative skill, thanks to the hard work of devoted DMI sisters, committed staff and meticulous planning of the Administrative staff headed by Mr.S.Thangamari and the gigantic support of Prayers and blessings by Rev. Fr.J.E.Arul Raj, Founder and Chairman and other Administrative team notably by Rev. Sr. S. Gnanaselvam, Rev. Sr. A.Mary Jehani, Rev. Sr. N.Sasikala, Dr. R.Palaniyandi, Dr. M.Suresh and Mr. L.Xavier.
